The Independent Indicative Perceptive (#02) is always preceded by the particle ka-. It is used several ways. One is to describe things that happen in a dream or in a dream-like state.
|Ka-nimitshishunaua eukuan eshiniman.||I was eating in my dream.|
Another common usage is to create relative clauses of the type that one among others. In this case, the ka- is not optional.
|ne napeu ka-taua.||the man who was present.|
